Hey guys! My name is Tyler Moore. I was born on January 11th 1995 and raised right in the heart of Muhlenberg County. Most people would recognize my home town as the home of music legends such as Merle Travis and the Everly Brothers. My early musical influences include artists from my parents personal collection of albums which consisted mostly of early roots music such as Creedence Clearwater Revival and early Mo-town recordings from the artists like the Jackson 5 and Marvin Gaye.
I don't have an awesome story or moment in time with a vision of a rock god that inspired me to pick up a guitar. Like most millennials I spent most of my late childhood / teenage years immersed in video games. It wasn't until the 8th grade when I played guitar hero for the first time that my interest in music began to ignite. I was drawn to the classic rock tracks from Hendrix, ZZ Top, and Eric Johnson. Ultimately those influences fed the fire that led me to pick up the guitar.
Fast forward a few years when high school jazz band quickly became my focal point, turning me on to players like Joe Pass, George Benson, and Wes Montgomery. I fell in love with the smooth mature music. This made me want to take my playing to the next level by locking myself in my bedroom with music theory and guitar technique books.
After high school I concentrated more on developing my own approach to the instrument by taking on as many sessions and live gigs as I could. Ultimately, this caused me to cross path with Josh Merritt. Josh and I immediately hit it off after realizing we were both ready to take on music as seriously as we could. I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities and experiences that playing with Josh has presented to me and I look forward to what the future holds!!!! #LLKM
